THE MOTOR MOUNT
Organize the black motor mount reinforcement on the back of the boat as shown in the picture. Install the top two 10 x 32 x 5/8 long screws. DO NOT TIGHTEN.
Orient the horizontal surface of the bracket on the two ribs on the deck equally, mark the deck through the bracket holes, remove bracket and drill holes with a .200 diameter drill. Put a very small amount of silicone sealant on the threads of two of the 10x 32x 5/8 screws and install them in the top two holes of the bracket. NOTE: the long end of the bracket is up! Do NOT tighten at this time.
In the top of the bracket install (4) 10 x 32 x 1-¼ inch long screws. Then through the access plate put the (4) ½" diameter slugs and nuts. Now install the last (2) 10 x 32 x 5/8 screws in the rear of the bracket; these may now be tightened. DO NOT CROSSTHREAD OR STRIP THESE..THE FASTENER IS PART OF THE BOAT. Now go back to the (4) screws on the top and tighten them.
